Love Culture: the concepts pt 1 

​The world runs on a basic yet constructive ideology in which different groups of people adopts as governing mindsets in the way they perceive and respond to life- – Culture. According to Webster Dictionary,  it is defined as the following 

  • the integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief, and behavior that depends upon the capacity for learning and transmitting knowledge to succeeding generations. 
  • the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group; also : the characteristic features of everyday existence (as diversions or a way of life} shared by people in a place or time <popular culture> <southern culture>. 
  • the set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution or organization

Simply put culture is the way you choose to perceive and respond to life. It’s one major stronghold about our individual awareness and interpretations of the worlds around us.

Every group of people with common characteristics has an integral belief systems that precipitate their social interaction with the world they found themselves. Many of the cultures of the world were established specially to model the lifestyle the people that adopts them. Fundamentally, these cultures evolved from the mindsets and belief systems of primitive men that postulates their ideas and experiences about life and they’re passed down from one generation to another through oral tradition. 

A typical example of such existing culture is the institutionalization of marriages among different societies, the dowry transactions is carried out by the wife to the husband’s family of the Indian Culture while the husband pays the dowry to the wife’s family in the culture of Zulus of Africa. Though with diversities yet culture is an integral part of the human race entirely, however it doesn’t invalidate our right to freedom of choice. 

The culture we choose to build around ourselves and adopts is significant not only to our generation but generations to come.
